When I discovered Promise Excel, content creator/founder of the Maverick Excel blog, I was excited. I enjoyed the tone of his personal story and his passion that leaped off the page. I was also excited that Promise Excel is in the beginning of his blogging journey like me! I went through his entire website and was impressed. His presentation is great. Promise is a guide to new African/Nigerian bloggers and entrepreneurs who are unable to attend university, obtain employment, or acquire capital; he will help you think creatively about your situation. Let’s support Promise Excel so he can grow his Nigerian brand, help him grow his African brand globally.
I reached out to Alex Adetokunbo Gansallo via Linkedin. I reached out to him because he is an entrepreneur film director based in South Africa. But secretly, I was excited to get a non-Nigerian on my blog. Epic fail, Alex is half Brazilian & Nigerian and grew up in Lagos, Nigeria. He told me in our first conversation that he considers himself a Najia boy. Although he is Nigerian :P, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to interview such a talented and multifaceted individual. Let me introduce the actor/entrepreneur/film director Alex Adetokunbo Gansallo.
Good morning! I am here to introduce Cuthbert Ayodeji Onikute. I had the privilege of watching Cuthbert speak at the 2016 Africa Business Conference at Harvard Business School. He was one of the top 10 finalists chosen to participate in the new venture competition. He had to pitch his business in 5 minutes to 4 judges in front of a packed auditorium. The passion he feels about his business shined when he was on stage and I know when you read his interview below you will also sense his passion as a social entrepreneur working in Guinea.
Greetings! I am back again to introduce John Taiwo. He is an author, blogger, marketer, and businessman. My favorite quote from John Taiwo’s interview was “I wish I had surrounded myself with people who have achieved, what I set out to achieve earlier on in my journey.” John Taiwo’s quote spoke to me because I started this blog after I went to the African Harvard Business Conference. I was surrounded by people who accomplished amazing things. It was inspiring. Now back to John Taiwo’s interview.
Drum Roll…Please welcome Dotun Adeoba Fadairo founder of Wordsmith Designs (a graphic design company) and newly published author of “From Me to You.” He is amazing, talented, and willing to answer all of my questions.
Good morning everyone! Let me introduce Adebukonla Adeniyi, she is the fashion designer, tailor, and founder behind the brand VESY COUTURE. When I spoke to Adebukonla, I was struck by her optimism and drive for success. Interviewing her has reminded me that I need to “live a life without regret” and follow my passion.
I am back to introduce an amazing person Janada Kwaji, founder, creator, and scientist behind the brand of Mint Organic Care Ltd. Janada told me that she often mediates on Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” She reminded me that I need hope and faith in order to succeed, and hopefully this verse reminds you as well.
